MEET THE FOUNDER

Voices & Journeys

Was built from a very personal place.

It was born from my Journey.

from lived experience — from knowing firsthand what it feels

like to carry something heavy, alone, in silence.

THE STORY BEHIND THE SPACE

I know what it's like to

carry it alone.

For years, I lived in a toxic, isolating relationship. On the outside, I kept up appearances for my children and everyone around me. On the inside, I was breaking — ashamed, confused, and more alone than I could put into words.

When I finally found the courage to leave, I began the slow, quiet process of understanding what had happened — and of rediscovering who I was underneath it all. I sought counselling. I went back to school. I earned my Social Services Worker diploma. I rebuilt, piece by piece.

But even with all of that, I felt something was still missing. Something more human. More honest. More present than what clinical spaces often allow for. I wanted a place where people could simply talk — without being assessed, diagnosed, or guided toward a predetermined outcome.

One morning, I woke from a deep sleep with an urge to write something down. I grabbed my phone and started typing — without knowing what I was about to write. The words "emotional support service" appeared on the screen. Something in me came alive, and Voices & Journeys was born.

I built this because I needed it once — and I know others do too.

"One conversation can be a catalyst for clarity and healing."

MY APPROACH

Walking beside you,

not ahead of you.

My role in a session is not to lead, advise, fix, or diagnose. It's to be fully present with you while you find your own way through.

I believe that most people already carry the clarity they're looking for — they just need a safe, unhurried space for it to surface. That's what I create.

Every session is different because every person is different. There are no scripts, no frameworks, no pressure to arrive at a conclusion. You set the pace. I follow your lead.

WHAT I BRING TO EVERY SESSION

  • Mindful, empathic listening

Full, undivided attention — no interrupting, no redirecting, no rushing.

  • Emotional presence

Being genuinely with you in the conversation, not just observing it.

  • Gentle reflection

Mirroring back what I hear so you can see it more clearly yourself.

  • A judgment-free space

No emotion is too big, too small, or too complicated for this room.

  • Honest boundaries

If I ever feel you need a different kind of support, I will tell you gently and help you find it.
